I will stamp all over 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote the upcoming boxing match.

Ex twice unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I will injure his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of such comments, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead attacked former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As both boxers engaged in the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly proceeding.
